They are, but I think you overestimate how much people care these days

Don't confuse exhaustion apathy with not caring. We've just gotten used to the current regime and a lack of consequences for their actions to foster this attitude. But don't get me wrong, people are pissed - especially at their latest move to escape transparency. Federal Labor has also had the benefit of using their years in the wilderness to effectively "clean their closet" up to the point where while they aren't perfect on an almost point-by-point comparison they currently hold the ethical high ground and stand a real chance of sweeping back into power if they can channel this broad public dissatisfaction into a successful election campaign. Time will tell of course but in this respect at least they have a massive head start should they choose to use it.

I am wondering about that. It would have been far easier to throw him under the political bus so to speak, bad press for the brand and all. Considering the blowback for taking this action in the face of convention I'm convinced there is something else going on behind closed doors here but whether or not this ends up seeing the light of day still remains to be seen.
