Anyone have the article about civvy firms teaching combat skills?
Post Body

Did anyone happen to see this the other day? Can’t seem to get a non paywalled version.

Ha, you’re not wrong on both counts.

It’s because there’s no civilian equivalent for our training. To get your civvie tickets it can be a year down in Tasmania; then starting from the bottom rung again and working back up. Plus from my experience not many private operators want to employ former Navy, we call out too much dodge shit and report all the defects with out any sugar coating.

It’s either that or get long N qualified and go become a reef pilot

Yep it’s fucking cruel

Yeah probably just using Serco or another place that’s employing all the guys who are no longer medically fit
