Motion Details

Senator Jordology505 to move that this House:

(1) Acknowledges the severity of the bushfires that the state of Queensland is currently facing.

(2) Expresses its deepest sympathies to those affected by the bushfires.

(3) Expresses deep gratitude to the Queensland Fire Service and all first responders involved in the bushfires.

(4) Acknowledges that the issues of bushfire recovery and women's rights are inherently linked, and therefore calls on the government to strip the Member for Nicholls of her Ministries.

(5) Acknowledges that, even though it gets a bit tough sometimes with fires, Australia is still the best country in the world.

(6) Calls on the government to do more to mitigate the effects of climate change.
