Well, talk about irony!
One minute you lose an election for one House of Parliament and the next you're elected to another!
I'm proud to be back in the service of my country, Australia, and in the name of the Republic under which it stands. The Liberal National Party continues to grow as Australians recognise that they need a balanced Liberal-Conservative alternative, but I couldn't be here without the generosity of the Commonwealth Party.
It is the Liberal National-Commonwealth's relationship that allows bipartisan social and economic policy to foster and grow positively of a free market tinge that empowers Australians to go forward, and this time in the Senate I am proud to have established strong local policy bases throughout Queensland, from the Sunshine Coast up to Somerset. We've got a strong array of policy that I'm going to work with our LNP caucus in the House to enact and I already have legislation submitted under my name.
The ball is rolling and I'm proud to be back in the service of our unique Australian cause. Thank you all.
