Gippsland-based Senator model-putrid is appalled at recent claims appearing in CPA letters sent to regional Victorians.

In the letter, sent advocating for CPA Nicholls candidate Boyrauty, model-putrid is referred to as a "fake Gippslandian (sic)", and it is claimed that she "represents a completely different state".

While all Senators are elected on a nationwide basis, due to outdated constitutional requirements, each Senator is required to pick one of the eight states or territories to represent. As the state of Victoria was not available in the cycle model-putrid was initially elected in, she selected Tasmania. Despite this, however, model-putrid has been firmly committed to representing the people of Gippsland in Parliament, setting up an electorate office in her hometown of Rosedale, and has openly expressed her contempt for Tasmania in the past.

While the Senator accepts that it is a technically correct, if misleading, statement to make that she represents another state, she considers the statement that she is thus a fake Gippslander (to use the correct terminology) offensive and wrong. From a man who was attempting to represent Brisbane one year ago with no hint to any sort of regional Victorian background at the time, it rings particularly hollow.

model-putrid is calling for the Commonwealth Party to issue a correction immediately, clarifying that the Senator resides in Rosedale and is not lying or decieving residents about her residency. If this is not done before the end of the campaign period, model-putrid may consider legal action due to the damage she believes has been done to her reputation as a result of these lies.
