They never saw it coming. The people of Australia had elected into power a party built on the people. Fortunately, the loss of Gregor as Prime Minister was something we had all seen coming. The growing power of the Commonwealth Party and the continued strength of the Socialists combined with the water leaking out of the Country Labor Party was a sign that the end of times had arrived for the PM.
It was a grueling election campaign with the Country Labor Party severing its partnership with the Socialists by refusing to preference them in the Senate and in key seats such as Brisbane. However, the political maneuvering by the backstabber was a major "L" for the Prime Minister with their failure to negotiate their way back into The Lodge. This coupled with the departure of the Australian Democrats, a pet project by Rohanite was considered a major reason for Gregor's failure to win back the house's support, which despite breaking apart the Commonwealth Party shares many similarities with it. The CLP claimed that they did not choose to endorse the Socialist Party in seats like Brisbane due to having a 'rural' focus, this claim is not to say that the CLP doesn't have a preferred candidate in each seat and with the only other candidate in that seat being a non-government member at the time, it is obvious where the CLP's preference lays.
Nevertheless, the creation of a government between the Socialists, Commonwealth and the Greens has brought into life a partnership a grand coalition that will see a government that is strong, a government that won't fall victim to the rural centered CLP that cares nothing about most people of this country. The people of Australia need to vote for a party that will fight for all people.
