Protests against MPs are sadly all too frequent in modern politics, but the people of the great state of Capricornia saw a delightful deviation from the norm today.
A dozen local residents today congregated outside local MP A Rich Tea Biscuit office to hold what was deemed by observers as an "anti-protest". Instead of standing against anything wrong, these citizens congregated outside the MP's office to celebrate their work for Capricornia, and to express that they were completely satisfied with how ARTB represents the seat of Capricornia in Parliament.
One of the protestors told the "Capricornia Times" that 'I love ARTB and I don't want anyone thinking that they are doing a bad job. It would be awful if someone were to protest here, so we are holding an anti-protest today to stop protesting and to show that us brave Capricornians support our local MP."
Political analysts were not surprised by this event. After an MP serves multiple terms, they are likely to attract anti-protests, as residents who have voted for them many times express their support by demonstrarting in favour of their local MP outside their office.
