The Socialist Party of Australia is today pledging that a Socialist-led government will deliver huge public transport upgrades in Melbourneās west, through a commitment to building four new railway stations in Truganina, Tarneit, and Wyndham Vale.
A Socialist-led government will help to alleviate the significant overcrowding at Tarneit and Wyndham Vale stations by providing communities on the Deer Park-West Werribee line with four new railway stations. These stations will be located on Dohertys Road, Davis Road, Sayers Road, and Black Forest Road, and will be funded in the coming term if a Socialist government is elected.
While the Deer Park-West Werribee line is Melbourneās first new rail line of the 21st century, it is struggling to meet 21st century expectations. Growing communities of tens of thousands in Tarneit and Wyndham Vale are serviced only by two rail stations, which locals report are serviced by substandard bus connections and are often congested early in the morning, providing residents with little opportunity to access trains.
The Socialist Party has already shown we can deliver on our promises - the billions of dollars provided for the Regional Rail Revival project in the federal budget will provide money for track upgrades in western Victoria, as well as a significant amount of new trains, giving commuters in Tarneit, Wyndham Vale, Melton, Caroline Springs, Ardeer, and Deer Park 20 minute train frequency off-peak.
Quotes attributable to model-putrid, Socialist Party Senator
āRail connection in Melbourneās west is substandard at best when compared to the rest of Melbourneās rail network. A Socialist government will work to deliver a better network for western commuters.ā
āOver the coming days and weeks, more policies and promises will be announced from the Socialist Party as part of our comprehensive plan for government.ā
