[Pitchfork News] Gippslanders overwhelmingly approve of budget

Post Body

An exclusive poll commissioned by Pitchfork News and conducted by Newspoll shows that Gippsland residents approve of the Green-CLP-Sensible Team's 2022-2023 budget. The statistics shows that a whopping 64% of Gippslanders approve of the budget, larger than any state or territory, compared to 36% disapproving.

The budget features a large amount of investment into regional areas such as Gippsland, with $5.8 billion invested into ensuring that rural and regional hospitals across Australia can provide the disabled with specialized equipment and modern hospital beds. In Gippsland specifically, a landmark investment is also planned into establishing a railway line from Stratford to Briagolong, to cost $68 million.

The high approval in Gippsland may be due to these large investments, but the presence of committed local voices must not be underestimated. Both treasurer model-kyosanto, federal MP for the seat of Nicholls (which covers Gippsland) and model-putrid, who is presently fighting a legal case against the Commonwealth Times over claims of discrimination based on her Rosedale heritage, have stood by this budget in Parliament, perhaps helping to persuade local residents.
