BloodyChrome yesterday resigned as a Justice of the High Court, in a scathing press release where he announced his intention to run in the next federal election while decrying a government that he said "seeks to destroy the freedoms and checks on power for their own gain to the detriment of ordinary Australians". A specific sticking point for the former Prime Minister was claimed changes to the participation requirements system, changing the body that governs them from the High Court to Parliament.
But firebrand politician and pro-democracy activist model-putrid was equally vitriolic against the ex-Justice, calling him the "worst Justice this nation has ever seen", and alleging that, under his tenure as Justice, participation requirements in Parliament were "replaced with a brutal string of attacks and killings committed by BloodyChrome against non-compliant MPs and Senators". The Rosedale-based politician additionally called for an investigation into what she labeled "the gangland-style murders committed by BloodyChrome".
In response to these allegations from BloodyChrome, model-slater said to Pitchfork News that "I completely reject any notion that our government is sliding towards authoritarianism, we have openly supported accountability. There is no basis for this claims, we have made zero changes to our nations legislation that puts our nation at risk of falling victim to authoritarianism, and to claim otherwise is utterly ridiculous." However, the Prime Minister also rejected the claims from model-putrid, stating "there is also no basis as far as I’m aware to claims made by model-putrid and we will not be seeking a commission inquiry into the “gangland-style murders committed by BloodyChrome”."
Pitchfork News can exclusively reveal that BloodyChrome has now joined the Commonwealth Party. When asked for comment, Commonwealth party leader 12MaxWild told Pitchfork News "I am thrilled to be working with BloodyChroke (sic). As a former justice he brings plenty of experience to the table and he will strengthen the party going in to the election." It is currently unclear where BloodyChrome intends to contest at the next election, though a Canberra insider has told Pitchfork News that he is likely to run in the coming Pearce by-election.
Wherever the former Justice intends to contest, it is undeniable that his entry into politics will have an impact on the next election. It may give the flailing Commonwealth Party the boost in the polls it needs to overtake the Liberal Democrats, and could negatively impact the government if BloodyChrome's allegations hold water. On the other hand, the calls for a commission of inquiry from politicians like model-putrid into the claimed murders of BloodyChrome could grow, and he could become a liability for the fledgling Commonwealth Party.
