As everyone may know by this point, recently the now former Defence Minister, Jordology MP of Lingari. Used his powers as Minister of Defence to issue a strike against a Warship that belongs to the People's Republic of China, while he claims that he tried diplomacy before issuing the strike and while it was found in Australian Waters. His actions have undoubtedly placed not just Australia but the broader region of Asia in a state of high tension and fragile stability, endangering not just ourselves but also neighbouring countries due to his action. This is compounded by the fact that Jordology seemingly went rogue with this decision, and did not consult the rest of the Coalition Government's Cabinet, which is reinforced by the Prime Minister dismissing him from the Defence Portfolio. But the damage is done, while the Prime Minister has stated that he will be making a state visit to China, I do not believe that at the present moment outside of avoiding the worst of this situation, which is that of dragging this country and our allies into a war that no one wants. Consequences will still be made upon us as a country because of this criminal decision by Jordology, I will not be surprised if China will issue trade sanctions or otherwise halt trade with us, causing our economy to implode, so I implore everyone to put as much pressure on this government to do it's job to secure the wellbeing of Australians in such a scenario.
Aside from that, what I find morbidly laughable was the supposed "punishment" that was dismissing him from being the Defence Minister, it has shown that this Government is weak of character or moral commitment. Because he has shown himself to make irresponsible and rash decisions in the capacity of Defence Minister, a position that requires someone of rational, and careful consideration that requires constant discussion with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Jordology has shown that he lacks these in his character. Despite this, the Prime Minister has decided that he can remain as part of the cabinet, retaining his position as Minister of National Security and Intelligence, Finance, Indigenous Affairs, Australian Families, Housing and Communities and lastly, Youth. All of which are significant and important portfolios under a Government's day-to-day administration, this isn't even specifically mentioning that he is the Assistant Minister to other key Portfolios. The question has now become this, if he is able to make such disastrous decisions as Minister of Defence, would he also make such decisions for his other Ministerial Portfolios, such as Finance or National Security? Further jeopodising our domestic and international security and stability as a Nation-State.
The wiser and more Statesmen like choice should be to fully sack him from all of his Cabinet roles and portfolios, which would be the routine and typically expected decision made in any other country, both ally and rival. This is because there must always be an expectation that those that are Ministers are capable of understanding the consequences and outcomes that a Ministerial decision can have, which is also why consequences must be applied for when such a position is abused or otherwise misused that brings about embarrassing or bad consequences. Because, ultimately, as Members of Parliament and Ministers of State, our decisions affect the lives of everyday people, for better and for worst, which is why every decision must be considered, rational and not made irresponsibly or rashly. This is also why Jordology should either resign or be fully dismissed from every Government position he currently holds, such behaviour should never be allowed to happen again, and should always be prevented before it puts us in a position that this Government is in, and has put all of Australia in.
