Folks, it's over.

When I was looking at this recent homeless crisis, I was struck with a peculiar thought: I worked very hard to get a million new homes built by the government, along with many other housing reforms. And it has appeared to amount to nothing more than pissing in the wind.

It would seem our country is in a terrible, interminable stasis. Nothing we do seems to do anything. And the only reason I got into politics is to help people.

And so, at the end of a long and storied political career, it is now over. I will see out the remainder of my term to avoid giving the fascist junta that currently rules this nation the extra seat, but after that, I will not run for re-election. There is simply nothing more for me to do.
