To the people of Australia,

Tonight, you have made your voice heard loud and clear. Australians have said that they are done with the politics of old, the instability and stagnation, and they have turned out across this country to make their voice heard. Tonight, on behalf of myself and the Social Democratic Party team, I wish to say thank you. Thank you to those who volunteered, who stood with us, who voted for us, and for those who voted in this election even if it wasn’t for us. Our democracy is only made as it is from the sum of its parts, regardless of political opinion, it is these parts that allow us to have the freedom to choose our own destiny, to choose our own leader and peacefully transfer power. It is the work of all of us that makes our country prosperous, and it is together that we can further our joint cause.

I wish to thank Prime Minister model-pierogi for everything he has done whilst leading this nation. The role of Prime Minister is no easy feat, especially when taking over mid-term after the collapse of a previous one. You have served with distinction, and began the work of restoring stability, which I will continue as Prime Minister to ensure the public of Australia gets the government it deserves. It is clear from these results that while the people of Australia have shown that they want a new government, they do not want the Social Democratic Party to form alone, and we fully accept and listen to that message. Over the coming weeks, I will be leading talks to deliver a strong and stable government. The errors of the past are over, we are ready to lead.

To Social Democratic Party supporters, thank you. Tonight we celebrate, tomorrow we govern. It is in the interest of every Australian that the government I lead swiftly act to implement our platform. For every single Australian, we will deliver. For every single Australian, we will not let you down. For every single Australian, you have elected the new alternative, and starting tomorrow we will work to transform our nation for you!
