Hello AustraliaSim, this is your Prime Minister speaking- this ANCAP government has committed to designing a NEW NATIONAL FLAG for the Republic of Australia. Having left the monarchy, it is senseless that our great independent nation still display the British Union Jack on our flag, and so we are committed to rectifying this. We have decided to give all Australians the opportunity to submit a design for review by the government and by the Australian people, so that our now flag will truly be a representation of our people: by the people, for the people. We will ensure our flag truly epitomises what a flag is meant to be: a symbol of our national unity.

You are welcome to include any explanation of symbolic elements in the comment, but I request that you always place the link at the beginning of the comment. Individuals are allowed to make more than one submission. You are also encouraged to support ideas you like by upvoting them, ensuring that we, the government, are able to quickly determine your favourites.

The deadline for submissions will be on 31/05/2023 23:59:59pm. So get designing and sharing! Following that, another announcement will be made explaining the next phase in the plan, so stay tuned!
