Commonwealth Times | ANCAP campaign in turmoil as Senate candidate advocates for higher taxes and lower age of consent
Post Body

By Malcolm Tucker

In a radio ad yesterday, former PM and ANCAP senate candidate TheSensibleCentre proclaimed the need to "lower the age of consent", calling it a "national disgrace" that it hadn't been done already. This horrified all who heard it across the nation and for good reason. The ad, which was only later clarified to apply only to Tasmania, has been criticized for being inappropriate and creepy. Regardless, it begs the question: Why is the main priority of ANCAP's senate candidate to lower the age of consent? Do Australians want this? No.

A potentially embarrassing photo for ANCAP. Oops!

Adding to the controversy, TheSensibleCentre recently proclaimed that income taxes must be higher, which contradicts the ANCAP party's policy of abolishing income taxes. The conflicting statements have raised questions about the candidate's alignment with the party's platform and have created confusion among voters. Furthermore, the ANCAP campaign has been plagued by further issues as the party leader, TreesEnthusiast, briefly quit before claiming that his social media account had been hacked. This bizarre turn of events has raised serious concerns about the stability and credibility of the ANCAP party, and it is unclear how the controversy will impact their prospects in the upcoming election.

The ANCAP party is facing a major crisis as its Chairman, BellmanTGM, desperately tries to hold the party's campaign together in the wake of several embarrassing gaffes by two of its key members. First, TheSensibleCentre's controversial radio ad calling for the age of consent to be lowered and her subsequent contradictory statements on income taxes have caused widespread outrage and raised serious questions about the candidate's alignment with the party's platform. Adding to the chaos, TreesEnthusiast, the party leader, briefly quit before claiming that his social media account had been hacked, which has been met with skepticism and further undermines the stability and credibility of the ANCAP party. In the face of these challenges, Chairman BellmanTGM is working tirelessly to restore public trust in the ANCAP party and present a united front, but the road ahead will be difficult and uncertain. Overall, the ANCAP party's campaign has been plagued by controversy and confusion, and it remains to be seen how these events will impact the outcome of the election. With just weeks to go, voters are left to question the viability and credibility of the ANCAP party as a serious contender in the upcoming race.

This also proves to be a significant negative for the Brisbane LNP campaign. Porriidge, who yesterday was celebrating ANCAP's endorsement, is now looking sheepish as Brisbanites are disgusted at his acceptance of it. "This reflects poorly on both ANCAP and the LNP" psephologist Ben Dover commented. "To have the endorsement of a party with lowering the age of consent in its age and attempting to open the floodgates with immigration does not bode will in a conservative leaning state." Poriidge, who has already shown how loyal he is by abandoning Moncrieffians and not even bothering to tell them until just two days before the election, only just launched his campaign as he falls further behind.

Notorious creep Porriidge endorsed by party who seeks to lower age of consent

It is becoming more and more apparent by the day that ANCAP do not know what they are doing and the LNP are willing to stoop to new lows just to mop up as much power as they can. Similarly, the CPA is revealing itself to be the only party of serious moral conviction. I never knew I would see the day where the government has to come and say it won't lower the age of consent in response to another party. I never knew I would see the opposition literally publishing the exact same manifesto three times in a row. Alas, this is the state of Australian politics. The CPA remains the last bastion of reason in this democracy.
