By Malcolm Tucker

Prime Minister 12MaxWild earlier today formally announced what had been expected, that he is running for re-election. Alongside Deputy Leader Cookie_Monster867 and Party Chairman SpecificDear901, he spoke about the truly large amount of achievements and laws passed this term and intentions to make his second term even more ambitious. He also spoke on the newly formed ANCAP group.

"My team and I are extremely proud with what we've achieved this term. Balancing the books and getting our budget back into black, record investment into infrastructure, the commencement of the construction of High Speed Rail, beefing up our armed forces and massively strengthening our economy are just some of our best achievements. Next term, we will be even more ambitious. The CANZUK vote will finally be held. We will complete our reform of the financial sector and make Sydney and Melbourne rival the likes of London and New York. If you thought the first term of this government was grand, get ready for round two."

"Australians, worry not about the ANCAP renegades. The Commonwealth Party will protect you from the mob which wants to re-legalise hard drugs, stop ALL action on climate change, flood the country with illegal immigrants and destroy the welfare state."

"Speaking on the matter of the summit, the Chancellor of the Treasury and I will be headed to Singapore this week to meet with Xi Jinping and members of the Chinese Government. The aim of this summit is to normalise bilateral relations between China and Australia, allowing for the reopening of trade and cooling of regional tensions. The Chinese Government has extended an olive branch to us, and we are willing to cooperate."

" However, be not mistaken; this is not a capitulation or a surrender. We will stand up for Australian rights and will be firm in our demands. We will not embark on a radical change of course. Nonetheless, it is the duty of us and the leadership of China to attempt to seek peace and prosperity for the betterment of all."

This press conference today sends a strong message to all adversaries of 12MaxWild's government, whether they are foreign or domestic. This government is very much alive and kicking, and is charting its course towards another three (four?) months in power.
