I move that this house―
Recognises that Australia only has 26 days of petroleum supply, 28 days of jet fuel, and 21 days of diesel for a total of 57 days worth of supply
Recognises that Australia fails to meet International Energy Agency obligation of 90 days' supply of oil stocks.
Recognises that Australia is dependent on the import of Oil from the Middle East
Recognises that the Middle East is not dependable for our nation's oil in times of crisis as it is a volatile region.
Calls on the Government to increase Australian oil reserves by either purchasing more oil, increasing refinery capacity or increasing crude oil production
Recognises that without Oil, Australia stops.
