As the Former High Court of Australia decided to eject the members of Pearce and Lingiari, the Members have been automatically removed from their parliamentary position.

I thus order a by-election in the Division of Pearce and the Division of Lingiari, to be held on the 25th of August 2018. The writs shall be issued to the moderator forthwith, and they shall be returned upon the election of a member to fill the vacancy of this House.
