Does Things Transport Over Weekends (Not Delivers)

I have an important package that was put into the app last Wednesday. ETA is tomorrow. The app was last updated in Sydney on Thursday. I need to arrange to be home for delivery and the trip to post office if he goes there I will have to travel abit.
So does the Aus Post cart things between cities etc on weekends? If they do, is it normal not to update the apps?
