I won't lie: I've had my share of hookups. Not a lot, mind you; maybe four or five total. But enough to know they typically end with an empty feeling more abject than before the act. I mean they're fun, y'know, when you're both animals and pursuing instinct. But then you're people again with conscience and confused and maybe sorta wary about the whole enterprise.

Anyway, I don't like the idea of one night stands; I like the physical intimacy of cuddling afterwards, I like a bit of continuity. The challenge, familiar to those of us who've experienced these sort of arrangements, is keeping it simple and neat. Frankly though, I'll only be here for a little over a month—hopefully enough time to see this little dalliance through without the danger of giving it time to bud and blossom.
