2 Methods Avocado

I have tried two different methods on the same day. I wrapped one avocado seed hole without killing the outer layer off in a damp napkin or paper towel and put it in a Ziploc baggie with no air and put it in a dark place. The other method was the old-fashioned toothpick method however I went ahead and stripped off the outer layer first. Looks as though the paper towel method is taking favor as the stem is about to pop out. I also change the water about every week in the avocado with the toothpicks
