Found baby bird

Found this baby bird this morning right outside of my patio on the concrete around 7 am when I left for work. I left it there figuring that mom is nearby and will continue to feed it…. But when I came home today around 6 pm the bird was still there. Pretty much in the same spot - on the hot concrete in full sun. I placed the bird in a shallow box and left him outside where I found him but but I’m not sure what to do next. Austin Wildlife is closed.
UPDATE: bird was taken to Austin Wildlife.
