I think this was a huge mistake to send this to vote in the first place and an even bigger mistake that was made with the vote. Tensions were high and opinions on both sides were guardrail to guardrail.
Personally I think this was a big mistake and Austinites have certainly paid a price in convenience, price and access for so many people that relied on the service. I will certainly vote differently on the city council in this election as a result. To be fair, I use Uber all over the world when I travel and need to get somewhere for work.
What do you think? Hoping this will be a bit more rational of a conversation now that the dust has settled.
