Gifting is an addiction
Post Body

I used to be a ‘small’ gifter in comparison to most. I no longer gift. When I was gifting I’d spend up to $50 a week on Tik Tok. It was at the point that I was getting addicted and even started putting it in my budget and wouldn’t buy as much groceries or other essentials so I could gift! It got to the point that one week I only had $10 spare to gift and I felt devastated because I kept $10 in case of top ups (bread milk butter etc) and that meant I either spent it on Tik Tok or food. I chose food and I struggled so bad that week promising creators I’d gift next week. When next week came I couldn’t afford to gift again (2 weeks in a row) and I noticed I wasn’t being ‘recognised’ by the creators who said ‘love you’ ‘appreciate you’ ‘legend’ etc. all my comments were being ignored and that really put it in to perspective just what these people care about. They don’t care about you just your money. I feel sorry for the people who drop $100s every night/week because it truly is an addiction and these creators take full advantage of these people’s addiction
