so I got invited to apply for a 190 visa recently. have started filling out the loooooooong application. one of the questions is "Have you ever been refused a visa to any country?"
I have been refused. I wanted to visit my sister for a summer. she's a Canadian citizen. I applied for a visa and I was refused for nonsensical reasons. the (extremely-generic-copy-pasted) reasons they stated in the visa refusal email included things like it didn't seem like I was going to leave at the end of my stay, it didn't seem like I had enough money to support myself, etc. this goes without saying but none of that shit was true. I was in the middle of a degree (in Australia!!!). of course I was going to fucking return. anyway, I digress
here's my question: do I mention this in my visa application? hate that this is part of my visa history and going forward I'll always need to mention this but if I don't, will they actually know?
I'm leaning towards just mentioning it as I don't think it'll impact the outcome but I'm curious to know if anyone else here has had any experience around this
