Sprinkles opens up a speech with a number of supporters, over 5 trillion in fact, she time travelled
How are we all doing?! That's the way! I'm proud to be able to step up here and open up my campaign in a fabulous way, I'm personally not a fan of summer but it's nice that we can have a great day of sun without an issue. It's great to see all of your faces today, it hasn't been long though has it. I'm here to be your local MP for this wonderful region with all the wonderful features it has. Robertson is a working class electorate and we need a working class member to represent it.
I come from a proud working class background and have been a member of the trade union movement for sometime and have been working hard everyday to see the small paycheck come back to me. Because that's all most of us do here, we work and then we sleep, it's not a fun life to have and we need to ensure that we protect working class people from the same issues we've seen time and time again. My history is very clear about where I stand on issues that affect the working class people of Australia and it's obvious, I've ensured that working class people of every discipline, from the hardworking miners, to the hardworking baristas, to the hardworking office workers. I've been there.
I've only been back in parliament for a short period of time but in that short period I have voted for and publicly debated on the budget that saw much of Australia uplifted. I was just speaking about the miners of Robertson, well it was this budget that brought about an increase to the number of safety inspections in mines, which will help ensure that more people of Robertson go home to their family. One of the most important things we can do for workers too is ensure that they can get to work easily and affordably. That's why ensuring that we build more rail and bus infrastructure around here will ensure that we build for the future.
But that's enough from me. I'm sure you'll hear from me more throughout the week.
