At a picnic this afternoon, model-slater held a campaign event for Aussie-Parliament-RP at Hyde Park in Sydney. IT is looking spectacular! A complete spread of food is out, with organic cheese, avocados, olives, hummus, and some sweet treats.

Good afternoon all!
It's a pleasure to be here to support my dear friend Aussie-Parliament-RP. Aussie-Parliament-RP and I go a long way back, and it's wonderful that they continue to support the Socialist cause! They were a key member of the Australian Greens, and I will be forever blessed for their contributions to our many discussions about the task of governing the nation. Aussie-Parliament-RP has always believed in sweeping reforms to create a fairer nation, one which they envisioned the people's wellbeing put before that of enterprise and the wealthy elite.

Currently, government services are looking at their death. ANCAP plan to slash government spending across the board, ending our important foreign aid that serves a very important role in our pacific neighbours. They plan to cut our healthcare systems, prioritising private healthcare and profit over fundamental human rights. The Socialists will not let this stand.

A vote for Aussie-Parliament and the Socialists is a vote to prevent welfare cuts and keep removing unfair and bureaucratic hurdles to accessing financial support. It's shocking that up
until the rate was ultimately increased in 2021, welfare recipients were really on the brink of starvation. This raise was legislated much to the opposition of many right wing groups such as many members of the Liberal National party. I couldn't be gladder than the liveable rate exists, but it would not be a stretch to say that it is under threat. People's livelihoods as ANCAP seek to gut the government in the name of "economic freedom". Myself, Aussie-Parliament-RP and the socialists will battle tirelessly for people who depend on welfare.

A vote for the socialists is a vote to protect renters. Renters represent over a quarter of the population in Sydney, but continue to suffer as second class citizens, and the few rights they do have are all too often trodden on.
We've all had awful experiences with difficult landlords and agents (an understatement really). Today, Renters must contend with significant rent increases, and all for subpar homes that feel like the South pole in the winter and
Energy bills are shocking, and renters cannot continue to cop this treatment. The Socialists will introduce higher standards and strengthen avenues for tenants to improve their housing conditions. Home ownership has become a fever dream for our current and upcoming generations, and with renting set to increase, we cannot continue a fundamentally unfair system.

As I've said previously, a strong voice in the Senate is the ONLY way to stop the tyrannical agenda of a looming ANCAP/LNP government. The role of the upper house is to act as that house of review, but this only works if there isn't a dominance of government members. Robust discussion, amendments and careful review can only occur if the upper house does not act as a rubber stamp for ideology. Put a diverse range of politicians into parliament, and ensure EVERYONE has a voice at the table.
