As described in the title and evidenced by my shameful photo, first time renovators over here have butchered a repair job.
Context - we knocked down some non load bearing walls and had to patch the ceiling. We used plasterboard and gyprock. Many layers of gyprock and sanding (I caught my partner using a belt sander once until I told him off for undoing all our work). Essentially we just primed and painted thinking we had it in a good even spot… we did not.
Advice on what to do? Sand and try again? Admit defeat and get a pro in?
Thanks in advance!
Looking at what you’ve done, I’d bite the bullet and hire someone to fix it.
You had a good crack at it and can only learn from your mistakes. It stands out like dogs balls though, especially with what looks like the wrong paint. You need to paint the whole ceiling with flat white once it’s fixed.
