Do I NEED slab for a shed?

Post Body

I have the following situation in my yard. It’s a 4 by 9m yard so I have no luxury of sticking a shed in the middle on the pavers so I’m looking to get one 3x1.5 in the corner which is as you can see just pebbles on the ground. I called Bunnings and they said they would only install a shed on at least 30cm pavers or concrete. My pavers aren’t even wide enough (they are like 20cm).

What are my best options? Re-pave the whole yard? Where do I even start with this? Do o need council approval for anything?

I was thinking building timber floor myself and then fixing the shed to the fence 😬

I’d build it on what’s there, that’d be fine.

If you were worried, go the timber floor route

If it’s straight on the ground? Yeah probably as there’s no fall or drains set up to allow for water to get away. I’d recommend not putting anything on the ground that can’t get wet.

Alternatively you go the raised timber floor route, build the floor frame to the size of the shed, square it, fix the shed down to it, then cut in the flooring inside the shed. Won’t get wet that way. And easy to remove if you no longer want it
