Oil constantly dripping down from rangehood
Post Body

Hey brains trust.

6 month old house.

Gotta completely deep clean the rangehood and filters at least once a fortnight.

I use the stove maybe 3-4 times a week, at most. (No deep-frying).

The rangehood vents out to the soffits (~5m across rather than directly up through the roof).

The puddle of oil in the picture is only 2 days of drippage.

Inside the rangehood the oil is dripping out of the fan/exhaust, down the wires and onto the filters, through the filters on to the stove top.

Is all of this because of the vent going to the soffits, are they meant to vent straight up? The vent isn't blocked as far as I can tell, I can feel airflow when checking it outside.
