Firstly, I love this community and have learned so much. I want to warn everyone about what the ANZ have done to me. Like a lot of Australians, I am elderly and have been a loyal ANZ customer for 45 years. I added up the interest the ANZ have changed me in that 45 years and it's over 300,000 dollars. I paid off my home 20 years' ago and 4 years' ago, decided to buy an investment property for my future. The ANZ were more than obliging and offered me 7650,000. I said, I'm on y owne, I don;t want that much, I can't afford it, so only borrowed 450, 000. I had no problems the first 3 years paying, but my repayments went up and up and up to over 3600 a month. I begged for help and ignored my please. The ANZ have whored me out for during my working life, I feel like a cheap hooker on a dirty st corner and the ANZ are a cruel pimp and when I'm tired, abused, sore and scrounging through bins and sleeping in the back seat of my car, the pimp ( ANZ ) who takes 98 percent of my income, comes knocking on the windscreen saying wake up , you slack itch and get back out there and while your lowering yourself to make us billions, we are going to charge you another 2000 dollars a month, for the privilege of us providing you with whoring you on the street for 90 hours a week. So over 12 months' ago I asked for help, phone calls, emails, hardship forms ALL inquiry ignored. So I lodged a formal complaint with the Australian Financial Complaints Authority, who once involved forced the ANZ to address my hardship claim and the ANZ stopped my repayment ( under law ) and whacked another 16,000 dollars in arrears on my account, but here's the good news. I fought the ANZ and I WON !!! . The bad news is, I lost my investment property due to their deliberate negligence and am starting again in my 60s. I lived in my car and was homeless, but I beat these bastards and sacked my PIMP !

I cannot discuss the case, but I have been awarded 1000s and 1000s in compensation and I want all my wonderful Reddit family here to know, it's difficult, but you beat the big 4 banks and I want to help others to fight, so if you have a similar story let me know and my advice is avoid the big 4. They own your body, your mind, your money and control your every move for 30 years.
