VICTORIA
Hello
So I live in a towhouse with 1/4 in the block. There is no formal body corporate, no meetings, no external company organising things. All 4 owners get along well and we discuss things between us when needed (it hasnt needed to happen yet).
All that happens at the moment is that we have strata insurance thats split 4 ways depending on the size of the townhouse.
Im in the process of electrifying my house. Currently there's gas hot water and gas cooktop. I have booked for an electric heat pump to be installed and am looking into options for my cooktop.
When im finished with everything and it comes to closing my gas account and having my meter removed/capped off, am i /allowed/ to do this?
As there's no formal strata there isnt really anyone that I need to check with to have it approved. Where as if there was a company mananging the body corporate im assuming I would have had to speak to them before doing this
Does anyone know?
Thanks
