‘Bob’ holds a current unrestricted NSW Drivers License.
DUI PRIORS:
2010 / mid range / disqualified for 12 months (NSW)
2015 / mid range / disqualified for 6 months (NSW)
CURRENTLY:
DEC-2021; Bob is pulled over in VIC and returns a BAC reading of 0.149. His license was not immediately disqualified nor was his vehicle impounded.
JUNE-2022; Bob receives a charge sheet and summons to court (scheduled for NOV-22)
AUG-2022; Bob is pulled over in VIC and returns a BAC reading of 0.198. Bobs two young children were in the vehicle at the time. Again, his license was not immediately disqualified nor was his vehicle impounded.
My question is ON WHAT PLANET IS THIS OK? Am I missing something? WHY does Bob still have a license? Is it to do with NSW licensed driver on VIC roads? I’m at my wits end, I have spoken to the local police both VIC and NSW and they will not help me. Can anyone shed some light?
