So I just got a fine for "not obeying traffic lights" with a elapsed time on red of 44 seconds and no pictures of my car taken. Does that mean they got it wrong?

So I stopped at the red light at a T intersection, both sides to my left and right light turned red, my one is going to turn green any second, I saw a green light and gunned it and I saw flashes of camera behind me. Today I received a fine saying my elapsed time is an astonishing 44 seconds and no picture of me taken, should I appeal the fine in court and get it re-appealed?
