URGENT ADVICE NEEDED. I (19M) from (AUS NSW) (PORT MACQUARIE) have been recently pulled over and booked for riding an escooter on the road whilst disqualified, (which an escooter falls under a motor vehicle in NSW) I was supposed to get my licence back on the 30th of this month (December) but I don't see that happening. I have to appear in court on the 12th of January 2025, and have some deep concerns. I currently can't afford a lawyer, so I've done the next best thing and booked an appointment with legal aid. Maximum penalty for said "crime" is '6 months prison, and a $3000 fine. What are the chances I'll be let of with a warning, or even just a longer disqualification period.
For context: the scooter was a Nami Klima Which I paid $3,500 for.
For more context: my previous conviction (the reason my licence was disqualified in the first place) was for riding a motorcycle while suspended. I received a 3 month suspension on the 30th of September this year.
Please if anyone has had a similar experience, or know someone who has, reach out. Much love
Edit: This is my 5th strike. 1st one was for riding with no L plates and speeding on double demerits. 2nd was for 260 in a 90 zone, flipped plate, and attempted evasion while suspended. 3rd was for riding while suspended and displaying a fake plate. 4th was riding while suspended (1 day before I would have got it back) 5th was the escooter incident
