Post Body

I live in Victoria and I earn about $250k a year in a white collar job.

On Friday, I got summoned to a meeting with head of hr and my boss in office on Monday morning at 10am.

I’ve never had a formal warning but have had general feedback on my way of working with others (over my 3.5 years of employment) so I’m definitely not perfect but to my Knowledge I can’t think of any specific incident that would equate to misconduct or similar. There is one thing that has occurred in the team but it would a stretch to solely blame Me for this. My results are arguably the best in a large business.

However given this isn’t the first time I’ve been called in with HR and management I think the axe is coming… so my question is;

If it’s the case they say to the effect we don’t think you’re a culture fit or equivalent with no serious misconduct what should I push for in a negotiated exit? Can they just say here’s your entitlements and leave just because, particularly without warnings? Potentially relevant is I’m Going through a very tough personal situation right now and my boss is fully aware of this, despite knowing where I was Friday he sent the email to appear before HR ….

Any tips or advice on how to negotiate a professional exit would be appreciated.
