I got a strong feeling that in the long term trend of wages in developed countries is only going to head low in the long run because of a combination of outsourcing and the increasing reliance on technology.
I know that most of you will disagree with my statement. But let's look at it this way. A person in India or the Philippines who earns 1/5 of our wages needs to be just over 20% as productive as a person in Australia or the US for the outsourcing to be beneficial for the company.
I know there will be plenty who will think that overseas workers or Ai are not good in high-end stem jobs which is true. but let's look at it this way. 90% of us don't work in high end intellectually highly demanding jobs which means there is a very high chance of most of our jobs being outsourced to low-cost countries or technology in the long run.
love to know your thoughts on this one.
