Looks straight-forward? Now here's where it gets complicated. I used to be ill-disciplined and very stupidly and racked up a ton of credit enquiries. (When I first migrated here, I wasn't aware of how the credit system here works, and tried to apply for a credit card 17 times).
Then, later on I started my own business, and paid my credit card bills late every month, until I sold my business.
As a result, my Credit Score tanked like hell.
Note that I have NO defaults and I've sold my business and paid off and closed my 2 credit cards that I had routinely paid late previously.
A mortgage broker I spoke to, was immediately pessimistic on my chances on ever getting a mortgage. The lender from my bank ANZ, is slightly less pessimistic and said there is still some hope but no assurance.
Is there hope for me, or am I doomed for life?
