Hi everyone,
I’m very close to start selling, the plan is to start with board games and then expand into PS4/Xbox games. I already opened and registered a pty ltd company. Registered for GST( kind of feel, I may have rushed into that, as I don’t think I will reach $75K turnover). Opened business banking account, signed up with a couple of local distributors to purchase stock. I’m currently researching most cost efficient way to send parcels, as neither of the distributors offer drop shipping.
I’m wondering, if there is anything else I’m missing:
I know I will need an accounting software. I read good things about Xero. My question is, should I go with a free one for now, until I established my business. Will it be difficult to migrate to a different accounting platform down the track?( I do have banking background, but I never worked in accounting or with accounting software before).
Is there any good software apps available to track orders? Preferably a free one at this stage. Once my business starts generating profit, I’m happy to invest into right software.
If anyone has experience working with distributors/wholesalers. Is there anything I should watch out for? Should I be looking at some overseas options, as they are probably cheaper?
Is there anything else I’m missing that I should research or do before I start operating?
Thank you.
