I'm mainly making this because I spend way too much time on Quinn and I'm extremely temperamental about small UI features, but over my time on the app I've essentially been compiling a list of complaints lol. This is kind of my attempt to construct a perfect version of the app because it could be soooo much better
- The home screen- I don't know how many times people have mentioned it but oh my god I cannot handle the semi-judgemental glare of the newest celebrity VA every time I open the app. I understand that it's there to direct new users who probably heard about it through TikTok but it drives me insane. why does victoria pedretti look like she knows what I'm here for and is already judging me
- More detailed queue system- you can add audios to a queue already but you can't see what audios are already in the queue, or what order they're in like you can in spotify or youtube. Makes it complicated if you're listening to a playlist but want a different audio to play next y'know
- Connect the data for desktop and phone- if you listen on two types of devices your listening history gets saved independently to each device instead of to your account. Makes it more annoying when you want to pick up where you left off
- Kind of a weird one but I wish it was clearer where to click if you want to open just audio details. If it's one of the full tiles in the New Audios section you click on the title but if it's anywhere else you have to open the menu and select view audio details. Very minor but trips you up when you're really in the moment
- Be able to search for tags and not just the tags the app has approved as searchable. Creators can put tags in their descriptions but you can't search for them unless they're Quinn tags and I think that's weird
- Lastly but most importantly- how is the favorites tab organized? It's not alphabetical, chronological, or anything else that would make sense. It seems like when you add an audio to your favorites it gets tossed in a randomly shuffled playlist. Am I just stupid? It makes it really hard to look for things you might've saved
Thus ends my rant, apologies for the tirade. Are there any changes y'all wish they'd make? I know this is really nitpicky, I just tend to get this way about apps I use a lot haha
Kinda silly but I’d like release dates on audios…
