Masters suggestions for a solo guy?

Post Body

Hey y'all

I quit my big deal entertainment industry job in Los Angeles a month or so ago and am taking some 'me time' to do things I wouldn't ever otherwise be able to do and part of that I'm hoping to involve a trip to Augusta for a day at the Masters. I've talked to enough pals with Augusta roots(I'm from Kentucky originally) that I know the best thing for someone in my situation is to A) find a couch to ride for the week of the tournament and B) hope that I get a miracle that gets me into the course for a day.

Just wondering if the reddit community here might have any suggestions. I'm still on the hunt for a place to crash via both the aforementioned friends as well as checking airbnb's etc but seems like the locals are rightfully making it worth their while(which I understand, my brother does the same for the KY derby).

Secondly wondering if anyone has any tips on getting a ticket for a day. I know practice rounds are easier, I know it's a hard as hell ticket to come buy even if you're paying top dollar, but I also know miracles can happen.

Appreciate any advice even if all the advice I get is that I should stay home and that I'm wasting time and money to do this, haha. Just trying to live a little and I wouldn't ever otherwise be able to come hang out in Augusta for a week and hope that the miracle happens, so why not.

Many thanks!
