I'd been feeling a bit depressed earlier today and decided to go for a walk in the sun. While I was out, I started feeling a lot better and suddenly felt very motivated to record an audio to help others with depression. This audio is a bit of a mixture of all sorts of things. I start off talking a little about my own experience with depression and medication, share some of my insights on how depression works and how to overcome it, help you develop willpower and stage a little mutiny to take back your brain from depression. I encourage you to try some exercises to make you feel better and give you some affirmation and encouragement with your own struggles. There's some dorky jokes in there too. Oh, and I do playfully say a couple of rude words (gasp) so be warned if you have sensitive little ears. Whether you're a longtime veteran or someone who is just starting to battle depression, I hope this audio can help you and make you feel less alone. I'm fairly chipper, playful and positive in this audio and I hope you'll find it encouraging, comforting and inspiring. If it helped at all, I'd love for you to leave me a comment or private message letting me know what you thought!
I also briefly mention trying mindfulness meditation. There's all sorts of places on the internet you can go to find help and guidance with that, but if you're listening to this, you presumably don't hate guys with Australian accents so you might enjoy using a free website called Smiling Mind which has guided meditation sessions from an Australian guy with a fairly pleasant voice.
