So every now and then, when I think about death, I recall a short story I first heard on an episode of Radiolab. It's about how people die more than once. Today, while browsing the internet and seeing tributes to David Bowie, I kept seeing quotes along the line of "There are two deaths. The first for our bodies, and the second for when we are no longer remembered", and it kept reminding me of this story
Now the tone of the story and the way it ends makes it seem rather glum and sad, but it kept popping into my head today and I wanted to record it. It'll become clear in the audio, but it became clear there is comfort that in the context of the story, adored as legend, David Bowie will never truly die
Rest in peace <3
