I had bi-xenon headlights installed in my '11 A4 back in December. The other day my AC stopped working and then the next day my car would not start.

Do you think the installed lights have something to do with the short? And why would it take 6 months for it to even effect anything? (possibly the AC being turned on?) If so, should I call the guy that installed them?

I brought it to a shop to see what was up and they said they wont touch it and to bring it to the dealership.

I do not want to bring it to the dealership because they will charge me an arm and a leg.
