Post Body

My previous 2013 Lexus CT200h was stolen and involved in a wild police chase which ended in the car being totalled. It rammed a few squad cars and ended up being PIT manuvered. I have dash cam footage if anyone is interested in seeing that lol.

I did get a decent settlement from insurance, 11.5k, and was able to use that as a down payment on a one owner white 2017 A4 premium plus with 26k miles. I paid 25k retail and just over 27k after taxes and registration. Probably right around market value from a dealer.

I own the car currently but my dealer has a 5 day/500 mile return policy so I took it to get inspected by a reputable foreign car repair shop. It checked out great mechanically but has a few issues I was hoping to get some perspective on, and find out if there are other issues that may arrise in the future.

The biggest issue is the speaker rattle when I have the volume over half. It does have the B&O sound system, which seems to be notorious for this problem. The front passenger side speaker sounds like it's blown and rattles loudly, especially during mid notes. I think it's reasonable I could expect the dealer to replace that speaker. The rear speakers also have a slight rattle but only when the volume is 75% or higher. Probably won't be able to get those replaced but I'm wondering if I could DIY it with felt/cushioning?

It also shakes slightly when idling, but when I did some research this seems typical for my car. Others on Audi forums were reporting they had the same issue and took it into the dealer who told them that it was nothing to be alarmed about and normal. Is this really the case?

The car has brand new tires, rotors/brakes, a fresh oil change, and good service record. I know it is due for a sizeable service at 40k miles. Is there anything I should be on the lookout for between now and 1.5 years when I get it serviced? Any parts that have a reputation of failing between 30-40k miles?

I also ordered an OBD Eleven to manipulate some of the coding. What tweaks would you recommend, and are there any other accessories that could improve the look/driving experience?

Love driving the car, the suspension and steering is amazing. Tight suspension with no body roll when driving fast, but it's also not too tight so it's bumpy when driving down a rough road. Corners well and love the weight of the steering wheel. It feels a lot faster than other cars around 250ish HP I've driven, probably due to the quattro drivetrain. It reminds me a lot of driving some of the newer Honda civics, just with more HP, 4wd, and a way nicer interior. Happy to be apart of the Audi club now!
