Quote of a comment on the XboxSeriesX sub:
"I managed to get 8ch surround usb3 audio working on any console really
I stream so I play games with an Avermedia LPG Lite USB2.0 with HDMI Passthrough
When Im using my Xbox Series X or PS4/5 Referring to the Capture Card; the USB side is connected to my capture machine in this case my iMac18,3 (running Win11Pro off an external 2.5" 1TB USB3.0 PATA HDD)
Using OSB Studio I attach my capture device and since the capture signal is HDMI it grabs the 60fps 1080p video feed along with HD Audio
When selecting the audio capture option instead of monitoring the audio channel I selected (Direct Wave Out) which I found gave me close to 0 Latency when the audio travels from the Xbox to the PC via HDMI
So now since I have HD Audio from the Xbox Series X being directed to my PC
Now I'm able to Switch my Windows Audio Output to the Audeze Mobius 8ch Audio Device
This give me the full 8channel head tracking USB 3 Audio Output and it works perfectly when playing Call of Duty etc.... I'm able to locate enemies using audio only (not using mini map)"
I've been looking for a way to have better audio with this headset and Xbox since I got the headset via pre-order.
Curious if they are able to use Mobius' mic somehow, as it most certainly wouldn't buy default in this scenario. Maybe directly plugged into the controller, or with an adapter, or if not then possibly just a separate mic connected to the controller.
Personally I have no desire to stream or record, but basically using the above setup as a passthrough or whatever for the audio, very interested in.
Since all I'm interested in is having full-featured (and therefore USB Mode) audio, I'm hoping I can accomplish this in a cheaper manner than the one quoted, as I have no need for streaming, recording, TV tuning, etc.
Any thoughts on this?
