Hey everyone
I would like to preface this by saying I 100% support anyone who wants to take adhd medication and I also think we need better medical support for ADHDers.
I am (diagnosed) autistic and 60-70% sure I have ADHD too. I know some of the traits really cross over so it’s confusing.
I am really struggling with a busy brain (literally will never switch off even when I’m sleeping), executive dysfunction (daily tasks are stressful and things just fall out of my brain) and my energy levels rise and fall quickly.
Is anyone here not on medication and have tips for managing? Or maybe you use herbal or natural medicine instead? I already drink ashwaganda for anxiety c. once a week and take magnesium for sleeping. I am vegan and don’t drink, meditate weekly and try to eat well (but autistic burnout makes meal prep super hard). Welcome any suggestions 💜
Also even if I did want to take medication, it’ll still be at least 6 months until I’d get any medication privately or 5 years in my area on our healthcare system. So I need some solutions in the shorter term as I keep getting so burnt out from existing that I can’t work 🥲
