I am feeling pretty disheartened, as my little guy who has always been smiley and happy and full of laughter turned 1 year last month and almost instantly seemed to change. He is now grumpy most of the time, easily frustrated, throws and hits constantly and also sometimes tries to bite, and rarely smiles or laughs. In fact, all his facial expressions look angry or like side-eye, and we make jokes about it but it makes me sad. I find myself saying "no hitting, hands are for xyz" and "I know you're frustrated but we can't do xyz because xyz" nonstop and it is so draining. It also actually really hurts physically. He is almost 13mo now and I know some of this is developmental but in your experiences, how long did it last if so? Or do you think other things might be contributing? He's not currently teething, though he did have several come in around 11.5mo. I know it's not a helpful thought, but it makes me worried that other people will not want to be around him either. I already feel so alone because of the pandemic and being estranged from my family that I want other people to care about him. I keep trying to be responsive and meet his needs but nothing seems to help :(
