Printed in secret at the universities in San Salvador, San Miguel, and Usulutan, flyers and leaflets have begun circulating around El Salvador. They appear tacked on boards in village common spaces, where they are read out-loud by the literate. The propaganda calls for Agrarian reform, popular unity, and defiance of the Rivera regime. It points to the Communists as the defenders of the people, and insists that the rural and urban working class band together to oppose the dictatorship.
