His Imperial Majesty Haile Selassie I was quite fond of Belgrade.

He saw it as a beautiful European city that carried an ancient history. He traveled the streets, and saw a performance at the National Opera, and he stayed at Hotel Moskva.

After the performance, he met with Marshal Josip Broz Tito, and presented his agenda of desired talking points for the meeting. He enjoyed a traditional Turkish style coffee with the Marshal, brewed with only the highest quality beans from Ethiopia (a crate of which His Imperial Majesty presented to the Marshal as a gift.)

1. The Emperor of Ethiopia, His Imperial Majesty Haile Selassie I wishes to present Tito with the Order of the Knight Grand Cross of Menelik II. This should be a public ceremony, where Selassie will be able to personally thank the Marshal for his services in fighting against fascism in Europe.
2. The Emperor of Ethiopia, His Imperial Majesty Haile Selassie I wishes to discuss increasing diplomatic communication and cooperation between Yugoslavia and Abyssinia, with the goal of strengthening both countries’ influence on the world stage. [a.] The establishment of embassies in Addis Ababa and Belgrade [b.] A declaration of national friendship between the Yugoslav and Abyssinian governments, as well as between all Yugoslavs and all Abyssinians [c.] We should find an agreeable resolution to the United Nations that we may co-sponsor to further cement cooperation.
3. The Emperor of Ethiopia, His Imperial Majesty Haile Selassie I wishes to discuss the status of Eritrea, currently nominally part of Italian Somaliland and administered by the United Kingdom. Haile Selassie would like to ask Tito to support the transfer of Eritrean administration from the United Kingdom to Ethiopia, should such a proposal emerge. We also ask Tito if he would support the Ethiopian stance in the removal of British occupation in the Odagen region.
4. The Emperor of Ethiopia, His Imperial Majesty Haile Selassie I wishes to extend to Tito that he will acknowledge Yugoslav territorial claims in and around Trieste, when such a time comes.
5. The Emperor of Ethiopia, His Imperial Majesty Haile Selassie I wishes to discuss military collaboration between our two states
6. The Emperor of Ethiopia, His Imperial Majesty Haile Selassie I wishes to discuss a culture exchange program, where our states will lend each other artifacts from our national museums.

We, The Emperor of Ethiopia, His Imperial Majesty Haile Selassie I, would also like to discuss any other concerns/issues/points that Marshal Tito would like to discuss.
